Dan Provost

Sit Down

Cannot mix false with

fancy,

good with evil. The demons

play six string while the angels

sing glory be...Still, you are

surrounded by angered, white

venom--while the crucifixion of

man is held in high regard &

the dogma census is noted.

Looking for steady...Hated in the axiom.

Soon, you and I will be blinded forever, no

host to cling to--nothing to see along the fiery horizon...

Crowded souls, jailed in the realm; cannot escape,

cannot find a peaceful end.

(from the book Getting Your Bell Rung)

Her Strength

Seeing her

suffer silently

on the couch,

watching the British

comedy Friday Night

Dinner-- waiting for

the chemo appointment

to rear its fucking ugly

head tomorrow morning.

Forces me to excuse

myself, walk into the

bedroom, and cry into

my pillow.

Uncontrollably.
