It’s autumn again and here in upstate New York the leaves are rattling down the sidewalks and the distant trains are calling out as they head south for warmer climates. There may be a few travelers on board, or holding tight in the nooks and crannies outside those cozy passenger cars, but here at the hobo camp there are still some sitting ‘round the fire telling stories. This issue is for those of us in a storytelling mood. Maybe spooky, maybe nostalgic. No theme this issue, just a few folks we paid who won our Hobo Camp Award (because every now and then we try to pay poets, when we can) alongside a fine selection of poetry and prose by talented travelers and troubadours from all over. Thank you for being a part of HCR, whether you're a reader or storyteller. We hope you enjoy this issue, and we’ll see you down the road.
