Mat Gould

folk art finger painting

snow melting from off of the roof
a dull chorus
there is but the sun and hillsides

the abstract inanimate of jagged empty branches

I don’t care to remember cities from here
the flat and river carved in between

a crow across the sky
diving through a sallow mind.
