On the day after election.

Some despair.

Others do not.

                        Life goes on

                        Death goes on, too

 

Journalists talk today about “the electorate”

        “The electorate” did this

        “The electorate” says that

                             The electorate

                             I conclude

                             is a 5-year old

                                           uncooperative

                                           and probably

                                           a little bit

                                           tired.

                The electorate prefers

                            bread + butter,

                            or rice + ketchup,

                                           basically

                                            anything but broccoli.

                The electorate is a hard worker

                and is happy to help

                                     to empty the dishwasher

                            in exchange for a cookie.

                The electorate DID NOT 

                    spill the milk, nor leave

                        the refrigerator door open.

                        YOU did that.

                        YOU made the electorate do it!
